Amateur Invest - Lookup import codes.

On this page, You will be able to see information about how to set up import codes in Amateur Invest.

Finding import codes ("symbol" in Yahoo language) can be done via Yahoo. They have many ways of finding codes, and below you'll find a collection of some of the ways. Please look around on the Yahoo finance site - codes can usually be found there by looking around a bit.

- Also remember, that some of all the codes already has been made available for Amateur Invest: by going to the "Import wizard" window in the program, you can set a mark in the "more securities" column, and have more import codes downloaded. - OR find even more predefined securities by pressing the "Securities" button also available in the Import/Export window.

When you have found the symbol on Yahoo, you go into the securities window in Amateur Invest and add a new security, and in the window you can see here, how you enter the import id.

As a last resort - if import codes for automatic import - cannot be found at Yahoo, there are easy ways to enter prices manually into the program.

More information and examples of looking up import id's / codes / symbols can be found on the tutorial, the screencast and the how to pages.
